Albany, GA (1888PressRelease) March 01, 2017 – Corey Barksdale Work Soon to be Seen in Jamie Foxx’s ‘Baby Driver’.

The movie and TV industry is thriving in the city of Atlanta, brining with it jobs in many fields as construction workers are needed to build sets and set decorators are required once they are built. One local artist making their mark providing artwork for local industry is Corey Barksdale (http://www.coreybarksdale.com).

Barksdale, who was raised in Nashville, Tennessee, has been around art his entire life. His family, full of creatives from all mediums, exposed him early to the artistic ideals of both form and color. Building on his organic artistic roots, Barksdale grounded himself in academic artistry by getting his degree in Fine Art from the Atlanta College of Art.

Focusing his artistry on subject matters ranging from human figures to non-objective abstracts, Barksdale’s art reflects his artistic influences among which are abstract expressionists Jasper Johns, Clifford Still, William deKooning and African American masters Aaron Douglas, John Biggers, Romere Bearden, and William Tolliver. Most specifically, his artistic themes examine and expose the love and strength that exists within the African American community.

Barksdale announces the availability of a large selection of his work whether already available or by commission, for use by creative professionals in the film, television and photography industries. While Barksdale is central to Atlanta, he can also work nationally and internationally to cater to the specific needs and demands of Production Designers, Set Decorators and Art Directors. He has a library of already cleared, quality artwork available for either rental or purchase, and also offers a wide variety of art research and clearance services and the ability to print, retouch or commissions paintings to custom specifications.

In addition to his website, Barksdale’s work has been exhibited and can be seen online at the www.getoutfilm.com/gallery/ and may also be seen throughout the TV series ‘Atlanta’. And stay tuned – more of his artwork will be available to view in Jamie Foxx’s ‘Baby Driver’, coming in Spring 2017.
